Our Story

Hoppers is an award-winning restaurant led by Creative Director and Co-Founder Karan Gokani. Inspired by the toddy shops, coastal journeys, and spice gardens of Sri Lanka, Hoppers serves Dosas, Kothu, Short Eats, Rice, and Roasts, as well as the iconic Hopper.

Hoppers earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand in its first year. Following this, a second Hoppers opened in Marylebone’s St Christopher’s Place in September 2017, inspired by Sri Lankan architect Geoffrey Bawa. Hoppers King’s Cross, the largest of the three, opened in February 2020, inspired by the coastal journey from Colombo to Galle.
