The Big Banana Leaf Feast returns to Hoppers King’s Cross.
On Sunday 30th August we will once again roll out our long tables lined with banana leaves, for a vegetarian feast to be shared with friends and family, with sittings at 12pm and 2pm.
Our feast is inspired by Onam, Kerala's harvest festival, which is traditionally marked with a Sadya - a vegetarian banquet celebrating abundance and generosity. Cooking and sharing this feast has become a cherished tradition for our team at Hoppers, and we enjoy welcoming you to share in this annual moment as part of our community.
Expect a spread of colourful dishes including ash plantain and coconut curry, pumpkin and cowpea dry curry, a beetroot and mustard pachadi, drumstick sambhar and a trio of rice — lemon, tamarind and Kerala brown — plus house pickles, papad and more. Supplements such as Trivandrum chicken fry, fish peera pollichathu or mutton gassi are also available for those who wish to add them.
Tickets are £40pp to join our sharing table, with £5 from every ticket donated to Feeding the Future, our partner charity working to provide meals and build schools for children in Sri Lanka.
Spaces are limited across both sittings and we expect this one-day celebration to sell out quickly.
Reserve your spot today for the Big Banana Leaf Feast at Hoppers.
